On Sunday June 6th, Grupo Cultural Latinos En Rochester, INC (GCLER) will host a free Carnaval Exhibition, an event dedicated to showcasing the process to create the outfits for the dances and traditions of various Latin American countries during the celebratory event universally known as Carnaval. The event will include a mask making workshop, folkloric dance performances, music, and an exhibition of intricate dresses from Puerto Rico, Panama, Colombia, Mexico and more. Each component will incorporate lessons about the history of carnivals and the Latino culture and folklore.
