The Reel Mind Film Series and Eastman Performing Arts Medicine present a virtual, free screening & talkback of ORCHESTRATING CHANGE, the celebrated documentary film that tells the inspiring story of Me2/Orchestra, the only classical music organization in the world created by and for people with mental illness and those who support them. Started by Ronald Braunstein, once one of the world's leading maestros (who was shunned when news of his BiPolar Disorder became public), the orchestras' mission is to erase the stigmatization of people living with mental illness through the creation of beautiful music, community, compassion and understanding....one concert at a time. Following the film, a talkback will be held with Ronald Braunstein and his wife/orchestra co-founder Caroline Whiddon, an Eastman School of Music grad, as well as the filmmakers and one of the orchestra's musicians. Moderating will be Ben Lee, Chair, URMC Dept. of Psychiatry. To sign up, please visit www.reelmindfilmfest.org. Questions? Contact cowingcreek@gmail.com
