Canal Walk by Kathleen Hanney

Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters is holding the second of three winter Signature Artist workshops featuring Kathleen Hanney who will present a full-day Pastel Workshop.

Kathleen will involve participants in an introduction to pastels, touching the basics for beginners and those people who do not primarily work in the medium. She will demonstrate a technique of painting from a photo/screen reference that allows the artist to keep the plein air feeling alive even when painting in the studio. Followed by time for participants to work on their own small painting with instructor guidance.
