Are you thinking of applying for grant funding for the first time, or perhaps you’ve written a few grants but are interested in sharpening your skills? In this class, students will learn the basics of crafting a thoughtful request for funding and leave with some tips and tricks to make the application and reporting process easier. Jess will also share her recipe for creating a grant application tool that will become your go-to guide during the application process! This class will be held virtually on September 7th from 7pm-8:30. Please register today.

Bio: Jess Hasler Southwell is the Founder and CTO of apPROach Consulting. She graduated from Roberts Wesleyan college and has over 15 years experience in business development and project management. Jess is the former Executive Director of Girls Rock! Rochester, a non-profit organization for girls and LGBTQ+ youth. As the Vice President of the GVCA Board of Directors, Jess is especially passionate about supporting artists and makers in Rochester and the surrounding area. She teaches business development and grant writing classes through Rochester Brainery and for private client organizations and is excited to bring present Grant Writing 101 to the GVCA community.
