Carnaval Show

On Saturday, October 2nd, Grupo Cultural Latinos En Rochester, INC (GCLER) will host Carnaval SHOW, an event dedicated to showcasing the dance, and traditions of various Latin American countries during the celebratory event universally known as Carnaval. The event will include folkloric dance performances, live music, with intricate dresses from Brazil, Panama, Colombia, Mexico, and more. Each component will incorporate lessons about the history of carnivals and the Latino culture and folklore.

WHO: Grupo Cultural Latinos En Rochester, Inc. – along with the help of various visiting Latin artists from the Rochester area and Latin America. Anyone interested in Latin American culture is encouraged to attend.

WHAT: Carnaval SHOW- a celebration of culture and traditions.

WHEN: Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 from 6:30pm-8:30pm door open at 6:00

WHERE: Kodak Center – 200 Ridge Rd, Rochester, NY

WHY: To provide educational value for the community and will help to instill a sense of pride for those interested in Latino heritage. This project intends to promote ongoing exchange and collaboration with emerging artists that support traditional art as well as having dance as the core, reflect a permanent search of expression through different languages and tradition
