The painting shows the reflection of the Beresford Towers on the Reservoir in Central Park in New York City. The Beresford is a famous apartment building constructed in 1929, twenty-two stories tall with towers on three corners. The viewer is looking across the water at Upper West Side of Manhattan. Lubovsky set the mood of a clear night looking sightly foggy using dark greens for the foliage and grays for the water and sky line. He uses the lights from the towers and the buildings to create the reflections in the reservoir. Reminds one of a peaceful summer evening.
