  • Call for Scare Actors

    The Genesee Valley Council on the Arts is looking for dedicated scare actors for our Haunted Museum October 17, 18, 24, 25th from 7pm - 11pm! Volunteers must be available to attend a meeting on October 9th at 5pm via zoom. With questions or concerns please email Info@gvartscouncil.org! Volunteers will receive 1 comp ticket per night, and all volunteer will be entered in a raffle drawing!

  • The Pursuit of Happiness: an America 250 Exhibition

    Call for Artwork GVCA is seeking proposals from artists whose work explores the wide and multifaceted community of American artists.

    Artists are encouraged to interpret this theme broadly and personally. Submissions from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences are welcome.

  • Open Exhibition Call 2026

    Thank you for showing interest in the Genesee Valley Council on Arts' gallery space. GVCA is currently accepting proposals for exhibitions for 2026. With multiple exhibit spaces available, we encourage artists of all experiences and exhibition records to apply. Individual or collaborative proposals are welcome. There is no cost to submit, and showing in our galleries is always free.

  • Request for Proposals - Volunteer Awards

    Genesee Valley Council on the Arts (GVCA) is seeking two artists to create original artwork for the inaugural Livingston County CARES Awards. This initiative is a collaboration between GVCA and Livingston County CARES, in partnership with the Livingston County Board of Supervisors, SUNY Geneseo, and the Livingston County Chamber of Commerce. The awards will honor volunteerism in Livingston County, recognizing individuals and groups who selflessly serve their communities.

  • Live & Local Vendor Call

    The Live and Local Holiday Market is the reimagined Artful Holiday Event everyone has known and loved for over 30 years! The Live and Local Holiday Market is a boutique-style, fine arts and crafts sale, that is manned by Genesee Valley Council on the Arts, allowing vendors to sell their wares during the holiday season without having to be in person to do direct to customer sales.
