Biel's watercolor captures the forest just after a storm had past the trees appear to be wet and puddles have formed on the ground. You can see the storm clouds moving away in the background with some blue sky showing through. The greens and yellow on the trees in the foreground and the use of the oranges and yellow colored trees in the background make you feel the sun is breaking out of the clouds. Biel's strong use of color and depth of field gives you the feeling of hope for the future.Â
