Basket of Roses Mario Pecci

In a seemingly dark grew wallpaper covered room we see a wooden table with a basket of roses situated on its surface. The table is moth and sligh sheen on its surface make a slightly reflective surface. the roses are in varying  hues of pink with a few white blooms accenting the roses surrounding them. There are green leaves and almost blooming buds that add an undertone of new life and blossoming potential to the painting. The brush strokes are visible and with hints of the impressionistic style. The table is almost tilted slanting down towards the left hand side of the painting. The baskets line are faintly there, almost appearing drawn on and melting into the table. There is an unknown light source illuminating the left side of the painting perhaps from a window invisible to viewer. the artists signature is in the corner of the piece.
