The Scholastic Art Show features student artists from across Livingston County.
The Annual Scholastic Art Show showcases the variety of materials, methods and subjects that students approach in their art classes. The 2017 Scholastic Art Show featured a variety of digital and traditional media, including photography, videos, clothing designs, ceramics, jewelry, and a Skittles mosaic. Participating high schools included Avon, Dansville, Geneseo, Honeoye Falls-Lima, Lima Christian, Livonia, Mount Morris, Keshequa, Pavilion, Warsaw, Wayland-Cohocton and York Schools.
Cultivating Student Artists
GVCA hosts the Scholastic Art Show to support aspiring artists. The event prepares students to participate in juried exhibits. Students receive hands-on experience in expressing a theme across multiple media, promoting their work and developing a portfolio at the high school level.
Important Dates for the 2018 Scholastic Art Show:
Judging: Saturday, March 24th at Livonia High School ( Open to the public from 12-3pm)
Show Dates: March 29th – April 28th at GVCA
Closing Reception and Awards: Saturday, April 28th; Galleries are open from 11am-3pm and the Staff Sergeant Alexandria Mae Gleason Morrow Scholarships will be awarded at 11:30am.
