Have you ever received a tarot reading and thought, “Wow, I wish I could do that”? Are you trying to learn tarot on your own but struggling to memorize the meaning of each card?
Tarot is a form of divination that has been around for centuries. You don’t need to have psychic powers or follow any particular spiritual path to read tarot. Nor do you have to memorize every keyword in the guide book to perform an effective reading.
The tarot is a wonderful tool for tapping into your intuition and deepening your self-inquiry. In this hands-on workshop, we’re going to explore ways to connect with the cards so that you can be on your way to reading for yourself and others.
This workshop will cover:
The history, art, and symbolism of the tarot
Tarot deck structure: Major Arcana, Minor Arcana, and Court Cards
Making personal connections with the cards
Telling a story in a tarot spread
Using the techniques we discuss, you and your fellow students will practice reading for one another in pairs or small groups.
This class is for anyone who has been curious about tarot or has read tarot before but may want a fresh approach to the cards.
Please bring a copy of the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck or another tarot deck of your choice to class if you have one. A limited number of extra decks will be available to borrow during the workshop.
PLEASE REGISTER BY calling 243-6785 by THURSDAY, APRIL 19th.
