The Dady Brothers will present a wide variety of music performed on multiple instruments. Joe and John Dady are well known and loved in Western NYS for their traditional Irish music, as well as for more modern bluegrass, country and folk music, much of which they have written and recorded themselves. The brothers are virtuoso players on fiddle, mandolin, guitar, bodhran, banjo, uilleann pipes, harmonica, and penny whistle, as well as being smooth vocal singers. Members of the Cal-Mum Elementary School Ukulele Club will have an opportunity to work and perform with John and Joe Dady.
The Cal-Mum Uke Club is in its 11th year and is currently under the direction of Tom Toyama, music teacher at Caledonia Mumford Central School. This concert will include eight to ten of the approximately forty-five 4th and 5th graders in the Uke Club. The Dady Brothers will meet with the Uke Club members at school to work on a number of songs for the program.
While the concert is free there will be free-will offering baskets at exits. This allows the church to cover the cost of the musicians, but will encourage attendance by neighbors for whom an admission fee is prohibitive.
A reception following the concert will allow the audience to enjoy time with the musicians.
