The Brighton Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with the Genesee Chorale, will present their holiday concert entitled, “Glory and Majesty” on Sunday, December 16, 2018, 3:00pm at The Clover Center for the Arts, 1101 Clover Street in Rochester.
Directed by Ric Jones, this family concert features the world premiere of Daniel Baldwin’s “Letchworth Park Suite” for chorus and orchestra. Lyrics are taken from poems written by early visitors to Glen Iris Inn which were assembled into a book by William Pryor Letchworth.
The program also includes “A Most Wonderful Christmas” by Robert Sheldon, Jonathan Allentoff’s “Chanukah Festival Medley”, “Do You Hear What I Hear” arranged by Emily Crocker, John Moss, and John Levitt, Dan Forrest’s setting of “The Huron Carol”, Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride” arranged for chorus and orchestra by Ric Jones, and the”Hallelujah Chorus” by G. F. Handel.
Admission is free, and donations will be gratefully accepted at the door. There will be a complimentary dessert reception following the performance.
